Fishing home waters has special meaning to Kerry Caraghar. Born in the hamlet of Pine along the North Fork of the South Platte River, the native Coloradan cut his fishing teeth on waters a short drive from metro Denver. Now, with fuel costs soaring, he will emphasize these streams – Clear Creek, Bear Creek and the South Platte River immediately above Chatfield Reservoir – in his June 5 presentation to the Colorado Women FlyFishers. The event at Piccolo’s Restaurant, 3563 S. Monaco Parkway, will feature a 5:30 p.m. social hour, 6:30 dinner and Caraghar’s talk at 7:30.
