Mike Myers ended a two-year search when he signed a contract to buy a six-room, loft-style penthouse in SoHo for $7.95 million. The New York Post’s Braden Kiel reports the 4,200-square-foot new-construction duplex condo at 72 Mercer St. includes three bedrooms, four bathrooms, 15-foot ceilings in the living room and dining area, a separate great room, two balconies and a 1,368-square-foot private rooftop terrace. Nearly a year ago, Myers pulled out of negotiations to buy a vintage four-story Greek Revival townhouse on Perry Street with a $9.9 million price tag.

Madonna’s lowball offer cost her an Upper East Side townhouse to real-estate mogul Keith Rubenstein. The recent landlord of Mario Batali’s Del Posto restaurant until he sold the 10th Avenue building for $430 million is about to go to contract on the East 62nd street home for close to the $35 million asking price. Madonna bid $10 million below the asking price, the New York Post reported. The Beaux Arts-style, six-level, limestone home with 14,700 square feet includes seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, three kitchens, separate servants’ quarters, a gym with a sauna, a billiards room and a garden.

The Beckhams – soccer star David and ex-Spice Girl Victoria – already have ticked off Beverly Hills neighbors, the National Enquirer’s Mike Walker reported. The Beckhams allegedly have filed a petition asking the city for permission to erect a high, fort-like wall that would encircle their newly purchased estate. Neighbors already have launched a “Fight Fort Beckham” campaign, collecting signatures to petition the Beverly Hills city council.

Tommy Mottola, the former Sony Music CEO, has relisted his custom-built North Salem, N.Y., home. The 15-room residence, built in 2006, is on the market for $19.5 million, down from last year’s $21 million. Aspen-based designer Linda Bedell designed the home, which includes five bedrooms, six full baths and three half-baths, and features views from the Hudson Valley to the Catskills and Berkshire mountains. About 45 minutes from Manhattan, the rolling countryside is home to celebrities including David Letterman, Stanley Tucci, Paul Newman and Mayor Bloomberg.

Sylvester Stallone pulls no punches about his spoiled-brat kids. “They know they’re not normal. They come home to a house the size of a hotel – and have nannies and bodyguards,” Stallone told World Entertainment News Network. “They get on a public jet and say, ‘What are these people doing on our plane?’ We were living in the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills when my second child was born. The eldest thought it was her house. She thought we had 200 staff and the lobby was her living room. She began asking people to leave.”
