Coming just days after being given a prominent conservation award, Ken Neubecker’s presentation to the West Denver Chapter of Trout Unlimited on Wednesday indeed is timely.
His subject, the impact of oil and gas drilling on Colorado’s Roan Plateau, was a principal reason for his selection as the leading conservation activist in the Colorado Environmental Coalition’s 2007 awards.
A geologist, biologist and Western Slope organizer for Trout Unlimited, Neubecker has been particularly active in monitoring the cold-water impact of Roan Plateau drilling. His 6:30 p.m. talk will be at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, West Sixth Avenue at Indiana Street, call 720-261-2058.
