An Air Force master sergeant was charged Tuesday with raping another military member after a social event, the Air Force Academy said Wednesday.

Master Sgt. Gregory S. Brooks, assigned to the 10th Medical Group at the Air Force Academy hospital, also was charged with indecent assault against the same member, adultery, soliciting another to commit a crime and failure to obey a lawful order or regulation.

An Air Force charge sheet says Brooks allegedly raped a woman on July 28.

The charge sheet alleges that he committed indecent assault the same day by kissing the woman, who is not his wife, on her neck. He also is accused of putting his body on top of hers while she was on the ground and having sexual intercourse with the woman, who is married.

He also is accused of soliciting a person to “become drunk, which conduct was of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces.”

In addition, the charge sheet alleges Brooks violated an Aug. 25 order prohibiting him from contacting the alleged victim.

The Air Force said Brooks sent text messages to her cellphone and left voice mail after the no-contact order took effect.

A date for an Article 32 hearing, held to determine whether there is enough evidence to hold a court-martial, has not been set.

Because of a reporting error, the original story said Master Sgt. Gregory S. Brooks solicited sex from a man. He did not. Brooks allegedly solicited sex from a woman.
