DES MOINES, Iowa—None of the tickets sold for the Powerball game Wednesday night matched all six numbers drawn to win the jackpot worth $33.7 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were 5, 9, 14, 45 and 48. The Powerball was 28 and the Power Play multiplier was 4.
A Power Play ticket sold in Colorado matched the first five numbers only to win $800,000.
That ticket was sold at Rexoco, 3142 Colorado highway 74 in Evergreen.
Three other tickets without the Power Play option also matched five numbers for $200,000 each. They were sold in Indiana, Missouri and Pennsylvania.
The jackpot is expected to grow to an estimated $43 million for Saturday.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
