Tool lovers have a new way to indulge their passion for gadgets.

The DIY Network has launched an Internet video channel dedicated to innovative devices that encourage do-it-yourselfers to cut, hammer or drill to their heart’s content.

“DIY Tools” is available at and allows users to access a video library about the latest gizmos, how to use them and for what projects.

The site breaks its content into seven categories: hand tools, drills and routers, hammers and saws, finishing tools, measures and levels, specialty items and workshop tips.

Each category includes 10 to 25 informational videos highlighting how-tos and insider tips.

The length of each video is listed on the site so viewers know how much time is devoted to each topic. They also can find additional links to learn more about a subject, and a feedback page where they can interact with experts through e-mailed questions and comments.

New videos will regularly be added to the library. For example, during the summer months, expect to see special features on products like portable air-conditioners.

Some of the intriguing product videos Room discovered on the site recently include:
