When it comes to casting a fly, few can fling it farther than Mike Bostwick. Over the years, the Denver native has won a wide variety of distance casting competitions. On Thursday, he’ll share his skill at a public clinic sponsored by the Cherry Creek Anglers chapter of Trout Unlimited.
The 6:30 p.m. event, which includes light refreshments, will be at Generals Park, northeast corner East Colfax Avenue at Peoria Street. Bostwick, who represents Sage rods, Ross reels, Rio Fly lines and Stalcup flies, won the “Best of the West” competition at the 1997 International Sportsmen’s Expo.
