THROWING WEIGHT AROUND
Those who want versatile home workouts but lack space for weight racks and bulky equipment will like the idea of the Valeo Tanker, a fitness ball that can be filled with water or dry sand to vary the weight from 5 to 25 pounds. The ball has two rocker surfaces for push-ups: The flattened surface allows for more stable, limited range of movement, the rounded surface allows for more challenging full-range of movement. The tanker, $49, comes with a DVD and wall chart that illustrates 12 recommended exercises to build core body strength. Also included are a 7/8-inch wrench and cleaning brush.
