A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition after falling from the hood of a moving car, Colorado Springs police said.
Authorities said another 17-year-old boy was driving the car in circles around the Citadel Mall parking lot early Sunday when the teen who was on the hood—engaging in what’s known as “car surfing”—fell and struck his head on the pavement.
The victim’s name and updated condition were not available Monday.
The driver’s identity was not released.
Police said the investigation was continuing and charges were pending.
