The post-apocalyptic serial drama “Jericho,” which last week got a seven-episode extension after being nixed by the network, will return on July 6 with a rebroadcast of the pilot. Repeats of the first season will air on Fridays through the summer, CBS said Tuesday.
The “Jericho” revival is one of the few examples of a viewer protest resulting in a network change of heart. After tons of peanuts were shipped to CBS, the network relented. Why nuts? In the final scene broadcast, when asked to surrender the fictional town of Jericho, Skeet Ulrich’s character responded with a one-word answer: “Nuts.”
