We continue to struggle with identifying our bags at the airport carousel, and companies continue to try to make money from our confusion. One of the more sensible and cost-effective attempts is That’z Your Bag, a reasonably priced, washable piece of material that’s also reversible and simply Velcro- attaches around the handle of just about any suitcase. There are dozens of color and pattern options, with more being added as the concept catches on. Harder to embrace is Luggage Retriever’s electronic tag, which makes a noise and flashes when you click a remote transmitter that comes on a keychain. It can break, and do we really need more noise in an already chaotic environment? And what happens when many people have something like this, and suddenly there are beeps, buzzers and bells going off as several hundred people down a line of carousels pick up their luggage? It should come with aspirin. The instance where this tag does make sense: for the visually impaired traveler. | That’z Your Bag, $4-$6,; Luggage Retriever, $36.95,
