Party girl Paris Hilton has yet another problem when she gets out of jail – her talent agency dropped her. While the 26-year-old heiress to the Hilton hotel fortunes serves out a 45-day-
sentence in a California jail, the Endeaver Talent Agency broke off its contract without citing a reason, according to People magazine. The agency represented her since 2005, and managed her contract for her reality TV show, “The Simple Life.” Just two days before she entered jail last week, her record company, Warner Bros, dropped her. Not that Hilton needs the money – she has an inheritance of more than $50 million.
The White Stripes won some new fans during an intimate and unusual gig at a home for elderly British military veterans. The Detroit duo, dressed in their customary red and white, played for some 20 scarlet-clad Chelsea Pensioners on Tuesday. The retired servicemen, residents of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, wore red tunics and black tricorn hats modeled on the uniforms of 17th-century soldiers. Jack and Meg White played an acoustic set in the hospital’s oak-paneled state apartments, where Mozart once performed.
“Fantastic!” said retiree Paddy Fox. “Normally we only get the odd carol service in here.” The White Stripes are playing British dates to promote their new album, “Icky Thump.”
Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, is searching for an evil handmaiden to assist with her Halloween hosting duties on the Fox Reality Original “The Search for the Next Elvira,” which debuts on Fox Reality Oct. 13.
On July 13, Fox Reality will host an open “Casket Call” at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, Calif. From the hundreds of horrific hopefuls, Elvira, who lives in Colorado Springs, will cut the group down to 13 participants. (Go to for details.)
