Mountain sports

Vail’s Family Mountain Adventure program offers families a chance to stay in Vail and choose from six mountain adventure sports. Available weekends in June, the package starts at $133 a person. Cattlemen’s Days

The 107th annual Cattlemen’s Days will be July 6-15 in Gunnison. Highlights include PRCA rodeos, a parade, an open-house horse show, horse racing, a cowboy poetry reading, the Gunnison County Fair and more. The rodeos will be at 7 p.m. July 12 and 13 and at 2 p.m. July 14. Live music and dancing take place in the evenings after rodeos. The 13th annual Cattlemen’s Days Cowboy Poetry Night will be at 7 p.m. July 10. Wildlife tour

Colorado biologist Kent Taylor of the Colorado Division of Wildlife is leading a small-

group tour to the National Parks of the Canadian Rockies Aug. 4-11. The focus will be on wildlife viewing, as well as the waterfalls and glacial lakes of the region. Cost is $1,995 per person, double occupancy, or $2,495 single occupancy, which includes all ground transportation, lodging, professional guide service, all breakfasts and lunches, two dinners, activities, park entrance fees and taxes.
