Inmate Paris Hilton spent Father’s Day with her parents, and the hotel heiress gave him a card with his picture on it, the New York Daily News reported. Rick and Kathy Hilton showed up at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., in a silver Chevy sedan about 7:15 p.m. and left about an hour later. Asked about his Father’s Day, Rick Hilton said, “It’s not ideally my best.” The 26-year-old’s parents said the “Simple Life” star is getting along better, though she’s still cold. “I thought her arm was broken,” said Kathy Hilton, making a motion like someone shivering in the cold.
Ex-Beatle Ringo Starr has signed a deal to release his Capitol/EMI catalog online, his publicist said. Downloads of his hit 1970 album “Beacoups of Blues” and 1973’s “Ringo” will be available Aug. 28, along with a compilation album, “Photograph: The Very Best of Ringo Starr.” Six Ringo Starr ring tones will also be offered. The Beatles catalog remains unavailable for downloading, though EMI has said it is working on a deal to put the songs online.
British rocker Rod Stewart, 62, married model Penny Lancaster, 36, in a private ceremony Saturday on the Italian Riviera, gathering with a few friends and family in a 17th-century villa, according to Italian news reports.
Eddie Murphy has taken a DNA test to determine if he’s the father of Melanie Brown’s 2-month-old daughter, the former Spice Girl’s spokeswoman said. The 46-year-old actor “did indeed take a paternity test,” Natalie Whorms said.
Brown dated Murphy last year and has maintained that the child is his. The 32-year-old singer gave birth to Angel Iris Murphy Brown on April 3. She listed Murphy as the father on the birth certificate.
