England

Who: Tammy and Steve Neuman of Elizabeth

Where: Bath, across from the ancient Roman baths, along the beautiful river walk.

Best meal: No. 5, a fantastic French restaurant located near the heart of Bath. The Squid in Ink Butter was a real squirt!

Best deal: The dollar is worth less than half the British pound, so any place that is willing to learn how to make a good vodka martini should help you to “swallow that!”

Best time to go: Late spring and early fall are great times to be in England. The temperatures range from between 55 and 80 degrees, with little or no rain.

Best travel tip: Pubs are the best way to experience England and its people. Pub fare usually ranges from very good to excellent, and English ales and lagers put ours to shame. The Cornish people, countryside and seaside are the greatest! But make sure your rented car is insured because a “typical Cornish road” is anything but typical. Stay at Tubbs Mill House B&B on the Roseland Peninsula for pampering you’ll never forget, and enjoy a traditional Sunday roast at the Blisland Inn on the Bodmin Moor. Drive up to the Lakes District, stay at the Dower House B&B in Broughton- On-Furness and have an incredible dinner at the Blacksmith Arms Inn.
