Broncos backup center Greg Eslinger was named to the All-NFL Europa League team today. Eslinger started all 10 games for the Cologne Centurions and helped pave the way for running back Derrick Ross to lead the league in rushing with 802 yards. Ross also is a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Eslinger, a four-year starter at the University of Minnesota, was a sixth-round selection by the Broncos in the 2006 NFL Draft.
After his senior season at Minnesota in 2005, Eslinger was named the winner of the Outland Trophy, given to the nation’s outstanding interior lineman, and the Rimington Trophy, given to the nation’s best center.
Eslinger spent the 2006 season on injured reserve with a separated shoulder.
