DENVER—Dallas set an Arena League record with its 15th win and claimed home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a 77-58 win over Denver on Monday night.
Clint Dolezel threw eight touchdown passes to become the first in league history with 100 or more scoring passes in consecutive seasons. He finished with 107, joining three others this season.
On Monday, Dolezel completed 21 of 31 passes for 244 yards. Dialleo Burks caught seven passes for 111 yards and three TDs for Dallas (15-1).
Colorado’s John Dutton completed 21 of 29 for 284 yards and four touchdowns, three of which went to Damian Harrell.
Georgia’s Chris Greisen threw for 117 TDs, Utah’s Joe Germaine threw for 107, and San Jose’s Mark Grieb had 100 scoring passes this season.
The Desperados are off until July 7, when they’ll play the winner of one of next week’s wild-card games. They could face Colorado (8-8), which plays at Kansas City on Saturday.
