FORT CARSON, Colo.—A soldier assigned to Fort Carson has died in Iraq of wounds from indirect fire, military officials said Tuesday.
Army Sgt. William E. Brown, 25, of Phil Campbell, Ala., died Saturday in Taji, the Defense Department said.
He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, based at Fort Carson.
