We recognized the picture in Find the Place. It is on the Salida Trail leading to our grandparents’ house in Salida. We visit there frequently as it is in the heart of the Rockies. When our parents turn off Colorado 291, they go up a hill to the mesa. It is on the great trail system they have there.

The picture of Find the Place in the paper is in my hometown! My mom took my brother Graham and me to get our picture taken by it. It’s located on Mesa Lane in Salida.

The smiling faces were painted by attendees at Boys and Girls Club here. My granddaughter, Taylor, was attending Boys and Girls Club that summer and painted the fifth face from the left with the “big hair” and smiling face.
