The Avalanche has reached a tentative agreement with defenseman Scott Hannan on a contract, a source close to the former San Jose defenseman confirmed.
It is believed the Avs signed Hannan to a four-year deal. Hannan was a top tier defender on several Sharks teams, and was considered one of the better defensemen on the open market.
