Denver police are looking for the driver of a red Toyota pickup truck who struck a man walking on 12th Avenue and Broadway early Saturday and kept on going.
The hit-and-run happened at 12:15 a.m. in the intersection as the 46-year-old man walked east in the crosswalk on the south side of Broadway, police said.
The truck was headed west on 12th Avenue and turned south onto Broadway. Police say the driver accelerated and sped away after hitting the man and turned west on 11th Avenue.
Several witnesses gave police a partial license plate number on the truck. The truck also had a chrome roll bar with lights on top and may have front-end damage.
The victim was taken to Denver Health Medical Center and has serious head injuries.
