Bridgeview, Ill. – Matt Pickens made four saves for Chicago, helping interim coach Denis Hamlett guide the Fire to a 0-0 tie with the Colorado Rapids on Sunday night.

The Rapids (4-7-4) ended a five-game losing streak.

Up a man after Bakary Soumare was sent off in the 83rd minute for shoving Colin Clark to the ground, Colorado misfired on two shots in stoppage time. Roberto Brown hit the crossbar half a minute before the final whistle and Dan Gargan sent a shot wide right. Ivan Guerrero’s shot in the 89th minute went over the net.

Clark was shown a yellow for his role in the altercation.

Colorado’s Pablo Mastroeni left the game in the 38th minute with a left groin injury.

Logan Pause was back in the lineup for Chicago (4-6-3) after a concussion, playing in his first game since May 27.

WIZARDS 1, TORONTO FC 1 at Kansas City, Mo.: Danny Dichio headed in a goal in the first minute of the second half, and Toronto remained winless on the road.

Wizards rookie Michael Harrington gave Kansas City (6-4-3) the lead in the 18th minute, but the Wizards could not score again, despite a 25-12 shots advantage on Toronto (4-8-2).

Toronto has four losses in six road games this season.
