DALLAS—Until now, Buzz Cola, KrustyO’s cereal and Squishees existed only on television.
Now, some shoppers in Colorado, Texas and elsewhere can pick up those items and more during a stop to a 7-Eleven store.
Dallas-based 7-Eleven has turned a dozen of its stores — including at least one in Denver — into Kwik-E-Marts, the fictional convenience stores of “The Simpsons” fame.
Those stores, and most of the seven-thousand or so other 7-Elevens in North America, will sell the themed items.
The monthlong promotion has been rumored a long time, all part of a campaign to hype this month’s opening of “The Simpsons Movie.”
The big-screen debut for the long-running television cartoon opens in theaters July 27th.
