Arvada police have identified a 19-year-old man found dead Monday night at the Castlegate Apartments as Shawn Rodriquez.
Rodriquez had been shot numerous times with an unknown caliber weapon, said police Commander G.C. Creager. There are no known suspects and a motive has not been determined.
Rodriquez’s girlfriend and a family member went to his residence, Apartment 311, at the complex, 7079 W. 84th Way, and found his body.
Creager said they contacted a neighbor who called police shortly before 8 p.m.
An investigation is underway. Creager said police do not believe there is any danger to residents of the complex or public.
