JOES, Colo.—Thunderstorms Tuesday spawned at least four tornadoes on the eastern plains and dropped hail across large swaths of the Front Range from Clear Creek County near the Continental Divide west of Denver to Boulder County.
The National Weather Service reported two tornadoes touching down near Siebert in eastern Colorado, with another touching down 5 miles northwest of Burlington and one 12 miles north of Bethune—all in Kit Carson County.
Video submitted to KUSA-TV showed a tornado near the Yuma County town of Joes.
No damage or injuries were immediately reported from the tornadoes.
Hail the size of hen eggs was reported in Coal Creek Canyon west of Golden and near Pinecliffe south of Central City, said Carl Burroughs of the weather service.
Golf ball-size hail fell near Idaho Springs in Clear Creek County, east of Nederland in Boulder County and near several communities in Washington County.
