San Jose, Calif. – Crush equipment manager Steven Morris collapsed and was rushed to Valley Medical Center in San Jose immediately after Colorado’s 76-67 loss to the San Jose SaberCats.
“He suffered from heart failure, but the paramedics got there in time,” Crush director of communications Jason Gilham said. “He is in stable condition and has been moved to ICU for a few days, where they will monitor the situation.”
Morris has been with the team since December 2003. Team members were upset.
“This is a tough day,” Crush receiver Brad Pyatt said. “Football is just a game, but this is real life. Our prayers are with him right now.”
