Ramon Ramirez gave up one hit in middle relief and Ryan Speier collected his PCL-leading 23rd save after allowing one run and two hits in the ninth inning.

Third baseman Douglas Bernier (two-run shot) and first baseman Joe Koshansky (solo shot) hit home runs for the Sky Sox. Koshansky has 12 homers this season.

Salt Lake starter Joe Saunders (4-6) gave up four runs on seven hits and struck out seven in seven innings.

Colorado Springs (48-40) is half a game behind Salt Lake (50-41) in the Pacific Conference’s Northern Division entering the PCL all-star break.
