Toni Collette had been leaning toward motherhood roles, and now she thinks she knows why: The Oscar- nominated actress confirmed Monday that she’s pregnant. It will be the first child for the 34-year-old Australian actress and her musician husband, Dave Galafassi. “We’re very happy. We are completely over the moon,” she said.
It was “I do,” part deux, for Eva Longoria and Tony Parker on Sunday. A day after taking care of the legalities in a French civil ceremony, the “Desperate Housewives” star and her NBA lover exchanged vows – again – at a Paris church. Except for Marcia Cross, who stayed home with her new twins, all of Longoria’s co-stars attended the wedding at the Church of Saint Germain l’auxerrois. Other celebrities who attended included Mario Lopez, Sheryl Crow, Jessica Alba, Ryan Seacrest, Denzel Washington and movie-star couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Most of Parker’s San Antonio Spurs teammates also gathered for the wedding.
What a difference a date makes! Cameron Diaz has become a new favorite of the paparazzi after years of scowling on the arm of Justin Timberlake, The New York Daily News reports. But his latest girlfriend, Jessica Biel, whom one pap said used to be a “sweetheart,” has started to resent the attention.
“She’s been rude and surly,” gripes one snapper. “We call it the ‘Justin Timberlake Affliction’!”
Lionel Richie didn’t skirt questions about his daughter’s drunken-driving case after his performance at the Essence Music Festival. “She’s just in an unfortunate situation,” he said. Nicole Richie, 25, is scheduled to go on trial Wednesday. She was arrested Dec. 11 and pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. In addition, her case contains an allegation that she had a prior misdemeanor DUI conviction in June 2003.
