A listing of leftover deer and elk license for the 2007 season will be available July 27, on the Internet, at Colorado Division of Wildlife regional offices and by phone, 303-291-7519.
Leftover licenses will go on sale at 9 a.m. Aug. 7 at all DOW offices and at license agencies. Purchases also may be made by phoning 800-244-5613, but a limited number of agents will be available to receive calls.
Internet sales of licenses will be available Aug. 8.
The agency also will post results of limited-license drawings Wednesday on its Web page, wildlife.state.co.us.
Shoreline restoration
Sellar and Diemer lakes, located approximately 25 miles east of Basalt near the Frying Pan River, will get shoreline facelifts under a proposal by the Aspen-Sopris Ranger District of the White River National Forest.
The forest service seeks to restore native vegetation while providing a more pleasing dispersed camping and fishing experience. The project requires shifting dispersed camping sites, closing approximately 2 miles of illegal roads to motorized use, removing certain nonfunctional outhouses and revegetating disturbed areas.
