Dawn L. Sanderson graduated in May from Brighton High School. She was the valedictorian and lettered in basketball, golf and orchestra.
Dawn was all-conference in Skyline League basketball and was the leading scorer and rebounder. She was co-captain of Brighton Lady Bulldogs basketball team.
She was also all-conference in golf during her junior year. She is active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Dawn is a Wendy’s Heisman award winner for scholastics, athletics and citizenship.
Dawn plays the violin and has performed with a local church for the past year and a half.
She was president of the Brighton High chapter of the National Honor Society and is president of the youth group at Brighton United Methodist Church.
She participated in Teen Court for three years as a prosecutor and defender. She has tutored other students in math and teaches violin.
Dawn graduated with a 4.0 grade-point average. She will attend Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C.
