The Dow Jones industrial average wasn’t alone in setting a new high Thursday. The Bloomberg Colorado index, a basket of 115 companies based in the state, closed at a record 451.04.

The index is up 17.9 percent this year, better than the 12.3 percent gain in the Dow.

Among the biggest gainers Thursday was Woodward Governor Co., a manufacturer of energy-control systems which relocated last year to Fort Collins from Illinois.

The stock gained 3.43 percent on the day and has benefited from a plug Jim Cramer gave the stock on his “Mad Money” show on CNBC.

Other stocks that pushed the Bloomberg Colorado index higher included Forest Oil Corp., up 2.21 percent; Vail Resorts, up 1.49 percent; and Newmont Mining, up 2 percent.
