One person was killed and three others were hospitalized Wednesday night after an accident near Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead following the 7:58 p.m. accident, said Jackie Swaro, spokeswoman for the CSU police department.

The Coloradoan is quoting a 20-year-old witness who said that the driver – a friend in his late teens – was partially thrown out of the SUV and it rolled on top of him.

The driver was trying to do a “doughnut” in the parking lot at the time, the witness told The Coloradan.
