A 19-year-old man was shot in the face this afternoon after he walked up to a sidewalk in front of an Englewood home to talk to three people, officials say.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was conscious when he was taken to Swedish Medical Center at about 1:30 p.m., said Scot Allen, Englewood police spokesman.
Police do not know what led to the shooting and have not identified any suspects, Allen said. It is possible the shooting was an accident, he said.
