Getting your player ready...
Now that it’s the height of summer, many people are shedding shoes for flip-flops. This most basic of footwear can cause troubles even as it liberates the toes.
Pros: Flip-flops protect the bottom of your foot and, when worn in public showers, can guard against athlete’s foot and plantar warts.
Cons: They offer little support and heel cushioning, and can cause serious problems if worn too long, on hilly terrain and for activities, such as sports in which toes need protection.
