Denver station CBS4 (KCNC-4) extended its contract as official television partner with the Broncos through 2010 and will air 17 of the team’s games this season, owner Pat Bowlen and station general manager Walt DeHaven said Tuesday.

CBS4 will air 17 of the team’s 20 games, including regular season and preseason games. The station will also simulcast the ESPN games this season, Bowlen said.

The station also will air five original programs each week covering the Broncos.

Four Broncos games airing on ESPN, including the preseason opener against San Francisco on Aug. 13, will be broadcast on CBS4.

The three other preseason games will be produced by CBS4 with local commentary from station reporters Vic Lombardi, Gary Miller and Reggie Rivers.
