COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado College hired Rensselaer Polytechnic’s Ken Ralph as athletic director Tuesday.
Ralph had been athletic director at the Troy, N.Y., school since July 2002.
He replaces Julie Soriero, who left the college this summer to become athletic director at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Colorado College competes in NCAA Division I men’s hockey and women’s soccer. The hockey team has reached the playoffs in 10 of the last 13 seasons and reached the Frozen Four three times since 1996. The soccer team reached the NCAA playoffs last fall.
Colorado College competes in Division III in other sports.
