A single-family home in the Pinery neighborhood south of Parker received heavy damage from a fire this morning.
The top floor of the tri-level home suffered extensive damage from a fire that started on the exterior of the structure, said Becky O’Guin, spokesperson for the Parker Fire District. The origin and the cause of the fire are under investigation.
O’Guin said a family of four lives in the home but had left before the fire started. It was reported at 8:43 this morning by a neighbor or a passerby, she said.
A total of 16 firefighters from Parker and Franktown brought the fire under control in about 25 minutes, she said. There were no injuries.
The neighborhood is roughly five miles south of Parker off of Parker Road.
