A Denver couple suspected of running a methamphetamine lab that started a fire in their home were arrested Wednesday by Denver police.

Aaron Neal and Kimberly June Angelo-Neal, in the presence of their attorney, turned themselves in to a Denver detective, police said.

The couple are suspected of running a meth lab in a home in the 3100 block of Umatilla Street that caught on fire July 18, police said.

Their 2-year-old daughter has been medically evaluated and placed in protective custody.

Aaron Neal was taken to Denver Health Medical Center to be treated for burns on his hands and arms, police said.

Kimberly Angelo-Neal was being held in the Denver jail.

The couple are being held on suspicion of manufacturing and processing a controlled substance for distribution.
