Reinterpreted ’60s chic is big. Really big. And Lava World International has boosted the kitschy interior design trend with a supersized line of Lava Lamps.

Standing more than 4 feet tall and weighing 110 pounds, the Colossus line of lamps makes the original 17-inch-tall lamps that rolled out in 1965 seem pale by comparison. Mix and match your base finishes – marble, wood, granite or the original silver – and pick from a lineup of zany lava and liquid pairings to add a little psychedelic punch to your pad.

The price is big, too. Expect to shell out $1,000 for a lamp in standard silver, or up to $1,150 for a version that includes a slick glass skirt that converts the oozy pillar into a side table.

Although you can buy a table-top Lava Lamp almost anywhere, you’ll have to look online for these out-of-sight accessories: Lava World International, .
