Boulder police believe the car that hit and injured a 21-year-old early Saturday was a 1993 to 1999 Volkswagen Jetta or Golf.
The car is white or light colored and has a roof rack, according to witnesses.
Police discovered the make of the car by analyzing a piece of the light array on the driver’s side front bumper that was found in the road after the accident at 11th Street and Canyon Boulevard, according to a statement.
The injured man was taken to Boulder Community Hospital for injuries to his head and arms. He is expected to recover.
