
The Denver Nuggets will play 26 games on national television, including a season-opening matchup with rookie Kevin Durant and the Seattle SuperSonics on Halloween night, it was revealed with the release of the 2007-08 NBA schedule today.
As reported in The Denver Post on Thursday, the Nuggets start their season at home on Oct. 31, an 8:30 p.m. game against the Sonics at Pepsi Center. That game will air on ESPN.
Of the 26 nationally televised games on the Nuggets’ schedule, one is pegged for ABC, 10 on ESPN, nine on NBATV and six on TNT. All other Nuggets games will air locally on Altitude.
The Nuggets first see No. 1 draft choice Greg Oden and the Portland Trailblazers on Nov. 14 at Pepsi Center. Other highlights include the Lakers in Denver on Dec. 5; Golden State at Pepsi Center on Dec. 30; defending champion San Antonio in Denver on Jan. 3; and the new-look Boston Celtics, with newly acquired center Kevin Garnett, on Feb. 19 at Pepsi Center.
