A man wearing a ski mask pointed a gun at a liquor store clerk and ordered him to empty the cash register Thursday night, officials said.
At about 10 p.m., a man entered Cherry Knolls Liquors at 6812 S. University Blvd. and pointed a hand gun at the clerk who was stocking shelves, Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said.
The robber told the clerk: “‘Open the drawer and give me the money; you won’t get hurt,'” Robinson said.
The clerk emptied all the money out of the cash register and gave it to the robber, who was wearing a ski mask with eye holes.
The man ran to a white Lexus or Toyota and drove south through the parking lot, Robinson said. No arrests have been made.
