ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—Denver Broncos first-round draft pick Jarvis Moss injured his left knee during 1-on-1 pass-rush drills this morning and was taken off the field for medical tests.
There’s no word yet on how bad the injury is.
He was injured when he did a spin move past an offensive lineman, then began hopping on one leg before crumpling to the grass. He stayed down for five minutes before getting up and walking gingerly to the sideline. He got into a cart and was taken to the locker room.
Moss signed a five-year, 18 million dollar deal on July 28th. The defensive end from Florida was the 17th overall selection in the NFL draft. He was expected to provide the Broncos with some much-needed help rushing the passer.
