The bodies of a young couple were taken out of a Highlands Ranch home Monday evening, and investigators removed the crime-scene tape a short while later.

This afternoon, the couple were identified as Kelly Estrada, 36, and Mario Estrada, 34.

A cause of their deaths was not released.

Neighbors said the couple had two young children, who were taken away Monday evening by an elderly couple.

The house is in the 8900 block of South Coyote Street in Highlands Ranch. Douglas County Sheriff’s spokesman Ron Hanavan said the sheriff’s office received a 911 call around 5:53 p.m. Monday.

Hanavan said detectives are treating the case as a “death investigation” and said that members of the public should not be worried for their safety.

“We have no reason to believe the public is in any danger whatsoever,” he said.
