A man shot dead by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was identified today as 45-year-old Ronald Talmage.
Talmage was killed Saturday night outside a Super 8 Motel in Parker where he pulled out a weapon on SWAT members, according to the sheriff’s office.
Talmage was wanted for questioning by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in the death of 41-year-old Robert Alurac of Alaska.
Alurac’s body was found July 23 about 50 feet from a house for sale in the 8400 block of Scenic Drive, about 10 miles south of Morrison.
Authorities are looking for Talmage’s girlfriend, Colleen Barrett, 46, of Littleton who has been missing since about July 18, said Jacki Kelley, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.
Barrett has blue eyes and brown hair. She is about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, Kelley said.
The complete autopsy and toxicology report on Talmage are pending, according to the Douglas County Coroner’s Office. An investigation into his shooting death is also ongoing.
A woman inside the motel room with Talmage before he was killed was taken into custody for questioning. Her name has not been released by Douglas County authorities.
