CONTAIN YOURSELF: After weeks of watching central Denver’s first Container Store take shape in the Cherry Creek mall building formerly occupied by Tower Records, this retailer devoted to all things storage is set to open on Saturday. To show its commitment to doing business in Denver, The Container Store will donate 10 percent of its opening weekend sales to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. The new 24,000-square-foot outpost located at East First Avenue and University Boulevard will be The Container Store’s 40th location and will stock more than 10,000 storage and organization products.

CLEAN SWEEP: Organizational guru Peter Walsh from the TLC show “Clean Sweep” will be in the Denver area Aug. 16 to share some of his simple tips and tools. His books include “How to Organize (Just About) Everything” and “It’s All Too Much: An Easy Plan for Living a Richer Life with Less Stuff.”
