A female passenger on a motorcycle was killed and her husband, the driver, was seriously injured after he ran a red light on Evergreen Parkway and struck a 2007 Lexus IS 250.
Taimi Chauveau, 64, was killed and her husband, Edward Chauveau, 62, was taken to St. Anthony Central Hospital, said Master Trooper Ron Watkins, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol.
The Chauveaus, who are from Port Hueneme, Calif., were on a trip with their son, who was riding a second motorcycle that was not involved in the crash.
Donna Funk, 53, of Kittredge, was driving her car north on Bergen Parkway about 12:30 p.m. Friday and attempting a left turn onto eastbound Colorado 74 when Edward Chauveau rode his Harley Davidson into her car, Watkins said.
Edward Chauveau is under investigation for charges including careless driving causing death, he said.
