FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The Larimer County coroner says a man killed when his car was hit by a train in Fort Collins suffered multiple trauma injuries.
The preliminary report, released Monday, says 85-year-old William J. Lofkin’s death was an accident.
Police have said they’re investigating how Lofink was able to drive onto the track, which has a railroad crossing gate that is supposed to come down when a train is approaching.
