Irving, Texas – The mother of slain Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams today saw her son’s former coaches and teammates for the first time since his Forth Worth funeral in January.

Flanked by about 15 family members, Rosalind Williams arrived at an Irving, Texas hotel and had a casual lunch with Broncos coach Mike Shanahan and several of Williams’ Denver imamates. Several Broncos defensive backs met Williams when she arrived.

She also was scheduled to attend the Broncos’ afternoon practice session with the Dallas Cowboys.

Darrent Williams, the Broncos starting right cornerback, was shot and killed in the early hours of Jan. 1 after attending a New Year’s Eve party in downtown Denver. He was 24.
