Pitching a trade
I have supported the Rockies and voiced my opinion, especially when we have had fair-weather fans talking garbage.
This is not going to be a popular comment, but now is the time to make a major trade. Ubaldo Jimenez probably will be a good pitcher, but we can’t afford to wait for that to happen.
We need to trade Todd Helton. We need another No. 3 and No. 4 pitcher in our rotation. We have lost most of Helton’s trade value by waiting too long, but we should be able to pick up the needed pitching.
If we put the versatile Ryan Spilborghs at first base, with his production we will not miss a beat. Our bullpen is the best in team history and we need to take advantage of this opportunity now.
Thanks for the memories, Todd. But we need to solidify our only weakness, which is starting pitching.
I urge the organization to do this for the fans who have remained loyal.

Double standard
Hooray! For Woody Austin and his honesty. Media bias is evident.
When Tiger Woods gets mad and throws his driver, he’s just being competitive. Any other golfer showing anger is out of control.
One day, I expect the golf commentators to genuflect as Tiger approaches the first tee.
